Formerly the head offices of Renfrew Council and immediately adjacent to the historic Paisley Abbey our architectural masterplan created a processional route through the site on the axis of the Abbey and a series of Public Realm landscaped spaces and Private housing courtyards. The land strategy, quality of the architectural design and materials found great support within the Council Judging panel and we were delighted to have assisted our client in winning this major competition.
The 117 residential units are formed in 4 blocks over 6 floors ranged around a landscaped courtyard. Natural Stone was used facing the Abbey and the layout and master planning was deemed to be robust enough to allow contemporary, modern materials to be used in this historic setting and in close proximity to the Abbey.
